Right Coast Wrecking Ball

This blog has languished in a rather woeful state. I'm not going to say it's gonna get any better, but may as well try, right?

Three updates on some of the summer's events:

Ginet and I (and 10 other suckers) had a good time in June at the Wasatch Back Relay. Ginet already posted about it on our blog, so no need to beat that dead horse anymore. Results were respectable and we're starting the prep (donating plasma to raise money) for the California version - Santa Barbara to Dana Point in April of'10.

I raced two weekends ago in the Sisquoc Road Race. Results here. Hot garbage. It was only the second road race I've ever done so my expectations were low and training was not event specific, in fact my primary goal was to not wreck. I made some tactical errors in spite of being given some great advice. I had a good time and it whet my appetite for suffering.

The best Syndicate result of the summer was posted by my brother Ezra "The Right Coast Wrecking Ball" Owen, when he obliterated the Clydesdales at the Navigator Triathlon in Summerville, GA. The second place finisher was over three minutes behind him. Holla yo! His contract will be honored next season, and we're looking forward to his contributions in the Ragnar California Relay.

Who else paid to suffer this summer? Let me brag about you here.
